Origami Bag by Amy Trainor

£50 per person

Join us for a sewing workshop making your own block geometric print origami bag with textile designer, Amy Trainor.

You’ll be making your own block geometric print origami bag with complimentary lining and sturdy handle. This stylish bag is similar in size to a tote bag and will be big enough to hold everyday essentials such as a purse, mobile phone, water bottle and make-up bag.

During the workshop you will learn how to do the following:

•          Thread a sewing machine/wind a bobbin

•          Cut out an origami bag pattern

•          Sew pattern pieces accurately and top stitch using a computerised sewing machine

•          Fold the fabric using an origami technique and sew in position

•          Make a handle and attach to the bag

Amy is founder of Kaleidoscope Textiles, a sustainable bag and fashion accessory brand. She works with high-quality, bold, bright fabric to create bags and accessories that stand out from the crowd.
