Baltic is housed in a former flour mill on the historic banks of the River Tyne in Gateshead. A dramatic landmark building, we host an ever-changing calendar of exhibitions and events. We've got the drama: soaring spaces, river views, and the kind of atmosphere you can't find anywhere else. 

For weddings we have fully licensed for ceremonies throughout the building, with Wedding Planners who'll guide you through every detail - from vision to vows to that final dance.

Looking for a party? Our Quayside views make the perfect backdrop to your special celebration, whether it be a birthday, work party or retirement do.

Offering intimate spaces and dramatic rooms for your special occasions from large event suites, to rooms with a view, we can ensure that your party, event or occasion is a memorable one.

Level 6 Rooftop

With sweeping views over the river, our rooftop gives you a birds-eye look at the cityscape below with slightly more space than our viewing box option to invite all your guests along. Whether you're seeking somewhere to host your wedding breakfast or a space to party late into the night with twinkling city views.

Level 5 Balcony
