Part of Spring Into Action (3-19 April 2026), two weeks of free, nature-themed events and opportunities to be active, creative and celebrate the return of Baltic's beloved wild residents and Spring in all its glory.
Nature is everywhere - you just need to know where to look. Join us and the Natural History Society of Northumbria for a guided trail along the Gateshead and Newcastle Quayside, uncovering the wildlife hiding in plain sight. From tiny plants pushing through pavement cracks to surprising low-tide habitats, wild bees and city-dwelling ladybirds. Our expert naturalist guides will open your eyes to the living world all around us.
Open to all ages, families welcome. Free to attend, donation tickets available for those who'd like to contribute. Tickets are limited.
