Within this image-making session targeted specifically toward GCSE students (Y10 and 11), artist Bex Harvey will look at a range of traditional printmaking techniques as a rapid and exciting way of enhancing basic imagery and creating fast but high-quality outcomes for GCSE portfolios.

We will experiment with a range of consecutive techniques that students can use to ’sustain and refine’ an image or idea through a series of different print processes, one after the other.
Furthermore, we will consider how this methodology fits into the exam specifications and acts as a springboard for further practical, visual investigations.
Think of it like a ‘crash course’ in printmaking and expect to get messy.
