Sat 11 October | 10:00-16:00
£75 per person (Booking essential)

Starting with automatic drawing - a Surrealist technique that taps into the unconscious through free-flowing mark-making - you’ll be guided through a creative process that will help to transform intuitive sketches into three-dimensional ceramic sculptures.

Lucy will share her approach through short demonstrations, followed by a series of drawing exercises designed to help spark fresh ways of thinking. Whether you're a seasoned artist or simply curious, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to loosen up creatively and experiment with new materials. These exercises will serve as the foundation for crafting your own small sculptures, offering a dynamic way to experience both drawing and sculpture.

No materials or experience necessary - everything will be provided for you! However, if you have any drawings you’d like to experiment with, feel free to bring them along as a starting point for your sculptural creations.

All work will be taken away, fired and returned to Baltic for collection.

This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to explore new ways of working with drawing and sculpture, while having fun and discovering new creative possibilities.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Please advise us of any dietary requirements or allergies.

Suitable for ages 12+
