Plan your visit

  • We are open Wednesday to Sunday, 10.30am-6pm plus all Bank Holidays. Last entry is 5pm

  • Visitors are encouraged to book a free timed ticket online, or call 0191 261 3830 and we will organise your tickets. You will be able to book up to a maximum of 6 tickets.

  • Visits on the day are very welcome if you cannot book in advance. Short waits may apply at busier times for the health, safety and comfort of all visitors and our staff.

  • In order to help reduce the risk of a local outbreak of Covid-19 we are asking for contact details of all visitors. When you book in advance, we will ask for contact details of the person making the booking. In line with guidance issued by the government, we will keep your details for 21 days. We will only share them with NHS Test and Trace if asked, in the event of a fellow visitor testing positive for coronavirus.

  • Please ensure you are wearing a face covering before entering the building. Face coverings are mandatory for all visitors except those with health and breathing issues, and children under the age of 11, in line with government guidelines.

  • Once inside the building, a member of BALTIC Crew will welcome you and ask for your tickets. You do not need to print your tickets out, you can present these on your mobile phone or give your name. If you haven’t booked in advance, your details will be taken before entry.

  • All visitors to BALTIC over the age of 16 are required to 'check-in' using the NHS Test and Trace app on arrival at BALTIC. If you don't have a smart phone or are unable to check-in using the app, we can offer an alternative way of recording your details.

  • Please listen to and respect any guidance offered by BALTIC Crew when you visit.

  • Usually, BALTIC Crew chat to you about our building and exhibitions when you visit. During this time they may not be able to do this in as much detail. This is for everyone's safety and we look forward to returning to longer conversations in the future.
