Devised for communities, adults, children, young people and families. Palestinian, born in Jordan and raised in the UK, DJ Omar Disku’s move between soulful Middle Eastern rhythms, UK funk and disco grooves. Expect music grounded in heritage, rhythm and movement.
This all-ages event invites communities, families, and music lovers to experience how sound can imagine new worlds and possibilities.
All welcome, younger participants must be accompanied by adult.
About Omar
Omar is a DJ, musician and filmmaker, and founder and director of Zeytoun Arts Collective, based in Newcastle upon Tyne. As a cultural organiser, he produces events and workshops that bring people together through shared stories and sound. His short documentary film Ana DammiFalastini was officially selected for the BFI London Film Festival 2025.
