Join artist Sofia Barton to explore the vibrant world of South Asian Truck Art through the lens of protection and identity.

Traditionally used to transform vehicles with kaleidoscopic colour, this art form is rooted in the ‘Phool Patti’ style, featuring bold floral motifs, poetic calligraphy and protective talismans. In this workshop, we will discuss the concept of the talisman as a symbol of safety and resilience.

You will learn to use high contrast colours and symmetrical patterns to create your own decorative panel or wearable charm. This session invites you to channel your personal narrative into a piece of ‘artistic armour’ celebrating cultural heritage as a tool for modern day empowerment.
