Part of Spring Into Action (3-19 April 2026), two weeks of free, nature-themed events and opportunities to be active, creative and celebrate the return of Baltic's beloved wild residents and Spring in all its glory.
Get creative with us and think about how we can welcome insects and animals to the Tyne. Make insect puppets using seed paper and straws and fly them along a black and white paper version of the Tyne. Help us create a colourful, spring Tyne and collage and colour in flowers and wildlife. Then, take your seed paper insect home, plant it in soil and watch it grow into flowers and plants for local wildlife.
Part of Birds, Bees, Bikes & Trees, a partnership project between Baltic, North East Young Dads & Lads and Newcastle University, funded by the National Lottery Climate Action Fund.
