We are proud to share that Baltic has been reaccredited as a Gallery of Sanctuary.

This recognition celebrates our ongoing commitment to welcoming people seeking safety in the North East of England. As part of the City of Sanctuary movement, we work with local communities and organisations to build on our regional history of welcome, to help make the North East a place where everyone can feel at home and thrive.

Our Neighbourly programme is at the heart of this work, bringing people together through food, creativity, and conversation. We think about what it means to be a neighbour and offer kindness and support in moments of celebration and challenge, with people rebuilding their lives in the area, our immediate neighbours and beyond.

Together with D6: Culture in Transit and English For All, we invite you to a special evening of art, food and live music at Love Up the Place: A Gathering of Joy and Solidarity on Thursday 18 December at Star and Shadow Cinema, Newcastle.
