This exhibition is open Wednesday to Sunday, from 10:00-18:00. You can drop-in for free anytime during our opening hours.

Content Advisory & Flashing Lights

Please be aware that this exhibition contains footage that implies violence, self-harm and contains some flashing imagery. Viewers may find some of these scenes distressing.

  • On Level 3 there is a large blue wall with black text.
  • The text has the artists name and exhibition title underneathwith the dates the exhibition opened and closes.
  • At either side of the wall there are spaces you can walk through to enter the exhibition.
  • Behind the blue wall is the entrance to the exhibition.
  • Once you have entered through the exhibition doorway you will enter a gallery space with low lighting. It will be dark.
  • There is a video installation right at the front. It has minimal sound and captions.
  • There are more screens behind this which are all raised from the ground.
  • There are speakers hanging from the ceiling and sound playing from all the films at the same time which may feel noisy
  • All videos are also playing at the same time and get louder as you get closer to them. 
  • The screens are very bright. 
  • You can see bright lights from the other projectors. 
  • To your left, behind you as you enter the exhibition, there is a wall with text and information about the exhibition that has a small light shining on it so you can see it.
  • As you walk past the first screen, you can see the whole exhibition. 
  • There are four video installations in the exhibition in total. 
  • You are free to walk around them in any order you like.
  • In the middle of the exhibition is a large seating area. 
  • You are welcome to sit/lay on this whichever way you like. 
  • To the left of the seating are two screens. 
  • This is the biggest installation in the exhibition space. 
  • The video is in black and white with some colour half way through.
  • There are some scenes of fire, knives and unsettling content for some viewers. 
  • There are loud sounds like screaming, music and sounds of birds.  
  • All videos in the exhibition play at the same time so you will hear all of them at once. 
  • Opposite the two screens is another installation. 
  • If you would like to, you can sit on the floor underneath the silk sheets.
  • There are 26 silk sheets hanging from the ceiling
  • There is a video projected onto the sheets from either side.
  • The installation leaves lights and shadows that move on the floor and on the wall. 
  • At the back of the exhibition is another video installation.
  • There is a bench you can sit on.
  • There are cushions on the floor that you can lay and sit on. 
  • There are flashing images during the video.
