This exhibition is open Wednesday to Sunday, from 10:00-18:00. You can drop-in for free anytime during our opening hours.

You will find the gallery on Level 3.
There is a white wall with black text which includes the name of the exhibition the name of the artists and the opening and closing dates.
There is an opening either side of the wall. These are the entrances to the exhibition.

There is a television on the wall which plays a video about the exhibition.
The video playing sound at a low level and has captions on the screen.

You can enter the exhibition from either side and work your way around the exhibition in any order.

At the other side of the entrance is another entrance and a framed print. There is text to explain that the print is available for purchase in Baltic Shop.

At the front of the exhibition, within the entrance is an image by Kuba Ryniewicz.
This is attached to the wall with bulldog clips.

In front of you as you enter is a Tish Murtha image that fills up the wall.
There is information about the exhibition the the right of the image.

To the left as you stand in the entrance facing the exhibition are images from Kuba Ryniewicz.
Some of the images are large and take up a lot of space on the wall, some of the images are smaller.

Some of Kuba Ryniewicz work also extends into the fire exits and around the walls. You are allowed to enter these spaces to view the artwork.

Following on from Kuba's work, there is Tish Murtha's photographs collated on the wall near the front of the exhibition.

On the wall following Kuba's work are a collection of images by Tish Murtha from Elswick Kids.
The images are grouped together on the white wall.

To the right as you stand at the front of the exhibition is an image of Tish Murtha and Ella Murtha with a text in quotation marks.
There are large print guides available for the exhibition. Please speak to a member of Baltic Crew for more information.

Kuba's work continues round the front right side of the exhibition.
His work is fixed to the wall in a various ways from bull dog clips, framed and pinned polaroids.

More of the work extends into the fire exits and around corners.

There is more wall text that explains each project and art work.
It is clear when new work starts as there will be wall text near by.

Kuba's work continues, varying in scale and size.

Some of Kuba's work includes images of text, like text messages on a phone, alongside photographs.

Following on from Kuba's work, Tish's work Save Scotswood Works is placed on the same wall.
The photographs are placed alongside enlarged newspaper clippings and other text pieces to add context to the collection of images.

There is a large scale image covering most of the wall.
There is wall text to support the artwork on the left hand side of the artwork.

The wall text is in a black font on a white background.

There is a wall that separates the exhibition space.
There is artwork on both sides of the wall.
There is no single way to navigate around the exhibition. You can view the artworks in the exhibition is any order.

There are two black boards in the centre of the space featuring Kuba's artwork.
On one side of the board is a TV playing video with captions and headphones that you can wear to hear the sound.
There is a bench to sit on and watch the videos.
On the other side are a selection of images.

The black boards are on two metal poles that extend to the ceiling.

On the side of the wall that faces away from the entrance is another large scale artwork with wall text.

Tish Murtha's photographs are collated on a wall in different sizes.
There is a quote is italic font above them from the Tish film.
If you require assistance in reading the text then there are Large Print Guides available and a Baltic Crew member will be in the gallery.

Alongside the images is another TV screen with captions and headphones to listen to the sound.
The video playing is an excerpt from Tish .

To the left of the TV are more Kuba images, including a large scale image that takes up the whole wall.

There are benches in the exhibition space that you can sit on.
Two of the benches are placed near video artworks and one is placed in the centre of the room towards the middle of the exhibition.

The exhibition artwork continues along the wall.
Some of the photographs are framed and some are placed directly onto the wall.
They vary in size, format and printing techniques.

The work continues round into the corner of the exhibition and into the fire exits.
.The lighting is lower in these spaces.

Throughout the exhibition there are various wall texts that accompany the art.
The text is black on a white background.
This wall text has artwork on either side of it.

Kuba's work continues around the exhibition and towards the back of the exhibition.
This section of the exhibition has darker lighting .
Some of the images include nudity.

At the back of the exhibition is an alcove with a TV in the middle of the floor.
The space is darker than the rest of the exhibition.
There artwork continues within the area and leads you back out into the rest of the exhibition.

Photographs are placed on a wall near the back of the exhibition.
The surface is not smooth like the majority of the other walls.

More of Kuba Ryniewicz work continues into the door ways and fire exits.
The work includes images of text.

A combination of both artists artwork continues on the walls along the back of the exhibition.

On the wall opposite the alcove is more wall text and a large scale print from Tish Murtha.
This is on the wall that divides the exhibition.

You can travel around the gallery in any direction
Take as long as you want in the exhibition, there is no time limit
Once you are ready to leave the gallery, head back and exit the same way you entered
