This exhibition is open Wednesday to Sunday, from 10am to 6pm. You can drop-in for free anytime during our opening hours.

  • You will find this gallery on the Ground Floor
  • As you approach the exhibition you will encounter a yellow wall
  • On the wall there is the name of the exhibition and the running dates in blue text
  • In the centre of the wall there is the entrance to the gallery
  • As you enter the gallery you will see many wooden sculptures around the room
  • These sculptures have different colours on them and are different heights
  • There are soft tactile objects on the walls
  • There is a large orange tube hanging from the ceiling 
  • On your right there is a white screen
  • Everything in this gallery is interactive
  • The screen shows a video of different hands
  • On the wall next to the screen there are wooden objects with colourful plastic shapes set in them
  • You can make shapes and patterns on the screen with these wooden objects
  • The screen makes no sound
  • Next to the screen area are small wooden sculptures
  • They are different colours and shapes
  • You can climb, rock, and play on these sculptures
  • There is an orange tube above these sculptures
  • You can use this tube to chat with a person at the other end of the tube
  • In the middle of the room there are wooden pieces to build your own sculpture
  • These wooden pieces are different sizes and colours
  • Other people might enjoy sculpture building with you 
  • Your wooden sculpture might fall down if you build it too high
  • At the back of the room there are large wooden sculptures
  • These sculptures have colourful fabric 
  • You can move these sculptures around the room
  • Next to the wooden sculptures are soft tactile objects
  • Some of the objects will be on the wall
  • Some of the objects might be on the floor
  • You can interact and play with these objects
  • You can move these objects around the room
  • Next to the left-hand wall there is a wooden table with chairs 
  • You can sit on these chairs
  • On the table there are small wooden pieces and wire
  • You can play with these small wooden pieces and wire
  • When you’re finished playing you must leave your creations in the gallery 
  • Behind the table there is a small room
  • The walls in this room are green 
  • On the right-hand wall there are pictures of the young lads and lads from North East Young Dads and Lads
  • Around the room are tables and chairs
  • Sometimes this space may be closed
  • You can travel around the gallery in any direction
  • Take as long as you want in the exhibition, there is no time limit
  • You can interact with everything in this gallery
  • The gallery might be noisy, you can chat to Baltic Crew about ear defenders
  • Once you are ready to leave the gallery, head back and exit the same way you entered
  • There will be a Baltic Crew member in the gallery, they are there to help and assist you with any questions
