Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art is a major international gallery situated on the south bank of the River Tyne in Gateshead, England. Having welcomed over 10 million visitors since opening in July 2002, Baltic presents a distinctive and ambitious world-class visual art programme. Housed in a landmark ex-industrial building, Baltic houses 2,600 square metres of art space, making it one of Europe’s largest galleries. Baltic has presented the work of over 850 artists of 78 nationalities in over 300 exhibitions to date. Baltic is supported by Arts Council England, Gateshead Council and Northumbria University.

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the team at Baltic as a Development Assistant. We are looking for an experienced administrator to assist the Development function for Baltic in meeting fundraising targets.

Reports to: Development Manager
Salary: £26,342 per annum
Working hours: 37 hours per week
Place of Work: Baltic, South Shore Road, Gateshead
Annual leave: 25 days plus Bank Holidays pro rata

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the team at Baltic as a Café Assistant. We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable individual who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

Reports to: Café Manager
Salary: £12.60 per hour
Working hours: 20 hours per week on a rota basis across our opening days (Wednesday to Sunday) between 9:45am and 6:15pm. Availability for evenings and weekends are essential
Place of Work: Your usual place of work will be Baltic, South Shore Road, Gateshead
Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays pro-rata
