Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art is a major international gallery situated on the south bank of the River Tyne in Gateshead, England. Having welcomed over 10 million visitors since opening in July 2002, Baltic presents a distinctive and ambitious world-class visual art programme. Housed in a landmark ex-industrial building, Baltic houses 2,600 square metres of art space, making it one of Europe’s largest galleries. Baltic has presented the work of over 850 artists of 78 nationalities in over 300 exhibitions to date. Baltic is supported by Arts Council England, Gateshead Council and Northumbria University.

We're seeking a creative, highly organised Events Producer who can execute unforgettable events that deliver exceptional customer experience, generate brand awareness, build business relationships, and motivate a team.

Reports to: Senior Events Producer 
Salary: £26,343 per annum 
Contract duration: Full time, permanent
Working hours: 37 hours per week
Place of Work: Baltic, South Shore Road, Gateshead
Annual leave: 25 days plus Bank Holidays pro rata

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the team at Baltic as an Assistant Producer - Communities. As part of our dynamic and friendly Learning and Civic Engagement team, you’ll help build connections and nurture relationships with people and groups across Gateshead and the North East of England. With a belief in the power of art to bring people together and as a tool for social change, you will work responsively with the Producer (Communities) to develop and deliver co-produced events, and community-focused programmes. 

Reports to: Producer (Communities)
Salary: £21,358 per annum
Contract duration: 12 months fixed term
Working hours: 30 hours per week
Place of Work: Baltic, South Shore Road, Gateshead
