Multilingual Exhibition Tours | Chitra Ganesh
Over six weeks, we invite you to experience Chitra Ganesh’s diverse and layered practice through a series of multilingual tours. Delivered in languages including Tamil, Farsi, and Bangla, these sessions are guided by members of our local communities.
Multilingual Exhibition Tours | Chitra Ganesh
Multiple dates | 22 Oct - 14 Nov
Free, booking essential
Rather than simply translating a standard script, each exhibition tour creates a completely new way of accessing and understanding Chitra Ganesh: Journey to the Great Below.
Local speakers will use the unique expressions, histories, and cultural references of their own languages to bring fresh perspectives to the artwork. As a result, Ganesh’s work can be encountered differently every time.
Open to everyone, these tours celebrate the many languages spoken across the North East and the communities that make our region so culturally rich.
They create a welcoming space for new conversations, inviting you to discover how the meaning of an artwork can shift when explored through different voices, tongues, and heritages.
