Join BALTIC Crew for some fresh air and gentle exercise to take in the local Quayside on our contemporary walking tour.
Meeting outside BALTIC we’ll welcome you from our front doors, walking over the Millennium Bridge, learning about the local history along the way. You’ll discover facts about the historical buildings, take in the beautiful views and hear about the role we play in our local area.
Find out more about the seven bridges that cross the River Tyne, and delve into the regeneration of NewcastleGateshead’s Quayside. The tour will continue under the Tyne Bridge, over the Swing Bridge and along South Shore Road ending at BALTIC, where you can join us in BALTIC Front Room for a well earned refreshment (donations welcomed). The tour will last approximately 45 minutes.
BALTIC Crew are happy to answer questions throughout the tour, and there’ll be the opportunity to take photos along the way.
This tour is suitable for all ages and we’ll adapt content depending on our visitors. We’ll do our best to keep to time, but want to accommodate everyone. This Quayside Tour is wheelchair accessible and pushchair friendly. You can let us know about any accessibility requirements you have when you book your free ticket.
