What to expect
We prepare detailed visual story guides for the building and each exhibition. You can find these here to help with planning your visit. We also have guidelines for visitors too with our code of conduct.
Are we nearly there yet?
Need to entertain the kids (or anyone else that won’t stop asking)? Let your creative side shine and colour in some Baltic art here.
Travelling to Baltic
We encourage sustainable travel to Baltic, whether travelling by roller-skates, bus or bicycle. Take advantage of lower cost travel on the Metro where kids 11 and under can travel free with a paying adult. By bus, grab Go North East's Family Day Tickets or £1 fares for under-21s.

Donate to keep Baltic free
As a registered charity, donations to Baltic are crucial as rising costs threaten our ability to
- Keep our exhibitions free entry and accessible to everyone
- Preserve support and opportunities for our communities to thrive
- Maintain our historical and iconic building
