We've placed images of art created by people based in the North East England from BALTIC's Open Submission exhibition across NewcastleGateshead.
There are 43 different artworks across various locations.
In partnership with Nexus this includes Bede, Wallsend, Cullercoats, West Jesmond and Hebburn Metro stations. There are also artworks on Metro train windows, on the backs of buses on NewcastleGatehead routes, posters at bus stops in Birtley and digital billboards in Newcastle and Sunderland. Look for them on your everyday route, commute and local walks. If you spot them take a photo and share with others on social media using #BalticOpenOut
We would love to see your art and share it with others. Please show us what you've been creating during lockdown using #BalticOpenOut on social media.
Lady Kitt, one of the three artists who selected the works for BALTIC Open Submission, has a new work entitled Open. Bloom. Flourish. Nourish. This can now be seen flying proudly on a flagpole on top of BALTIC's building, created in partnership with Harrison Flagpoles.
Involving over 150 artists and makers based in the North East of England, we are looking forward to sharing the BALTIC Open Submission exhibition with you in person when we reopen Wednesday 19 May 2021 (roadmaps stages permitting).
