BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art is pleased to announce five bursaries supporting artists based in the North East of England (County Durham, Northumberland, Teesside or Tyne and Wear).
These bursaries will support artists working at home or in the studio with an £1,000 award. BALTIC invites applications from artists who wish to explore new areas of research, or new ways of making and sustaining their practice.
The BALTIC Bursaries will also provide opportunities for participating artists to meet with BALTIC curators for virtual studio visits.
There are no expectations around outcomes for the funds awarded.
Selection panel comprises: Emma Dean, BALTIC Curator; Katie Hickman, BALTIC Curator of Performance and Public Programme, Katharine Welsh, BALTIC Curator and artist Joy Labinjo.
The recipients of the BALTIC Bursaries 2021 will be announced end of April 2021.
