A performance evening presented by Kara Chin and Ben Jeans Houghton.
Kara Chin devises a procession of animated Tsukumogami in the gallery, this will take inspiration from the Japanese, Hyakki Yagyō, a folklore narrative of disruptive spirits, including a procession of animated tsukomogami, and a guest reading of recent poems by poet and writer, Claire Trévien.
Ben Jeans Houghton collaborates with artists Heather Bonnie Reid and Jamie Stuart to create a performance through spoken word, improvised song and ritual percussion that explores magic as transformation.
