The session will be split into three parts:

Part one will look at packing - you will learn how to pack safely, the different types of packing materials, what to consider when moving or shipping artwork, and how to develop good instructions for object care to accompany your work.

Part two will look at the different types of transport to consider for artwork, with a very brief introduction to customs formalities.

Part three will consider the preservation of artwork and the practicalities of presenting artwork in public, with freelance conservator Jane Colbourne providing some basic information on how to properly preserve your work.

Limited places available.

This session will be led by:

Adrianne Murray-Neil is the Registrar and Production Manager at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art.

Jane Colbourne is a freelance conservator.
