Young Producers

Baltic Young Producers are a group of young people aged 14-17, who work with Baltic staff and artists over one academic year to plan and deliver an event or commission with a theme chosen by them that celebrates young people as makers, producers and leaders.

Apply to be a Young Producer!

We are currently looking for young people aged 14-17 to become the new cohort of Young Producers.

From Saturday 12 November, the Young Producers will meet bi-weekly on Saturday afternoons 2pm - 4pm at Baltic and will be supported by professional artists Luca Rutherford and Foundation Press to design a series of billboard artworks to be installed in public areas in March 2023.

We welcome expressions of interest from young people living in Newcastle and Gateshead. We are also committed to providing opportunities for young people who are under-represented in the arts - particularly young people from low-income backgrounds, people with disabilities and people who identify as Black, Asian, Indigenous or a Person of Colour.

If you are interested in this opportunity for you or a young person you know, please email by Saturday 5 November.

Baltic Young Producers also have the opportunity to complete Gold Arts Award, which is a nationally recognised art qualification worth 16 UCAS points.
