BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art supports young people, schools and organisations with Silver Arts Award (RQF Level 2) in the following ways:
UNIT 1: Arts practice and pathways
PART A + B: Identify and plan an arts challenge and Implement and review the arts challenge
Young people: Join an ArtMix session to take part in free artist led workshops. ArtMix sessions take place three times per month.
Schools and organisations: Book an artist studio session to take place either at BALTIC or at your school or organisation. Encourage your students to come along to ArtMix sessions outside of school.
PART C: Review arts events
Young people, schools and organisations: Take advantage of free exhibition spotlight tours which happen daily at 11.30 and 13.30, or get in touch to organise a free tour for your group.
PART D: Arts research
Young people: Come along to ArtMix sessions and find out more about the careers of artists and gallery staff.
Schools and organisation: Book an artist studio session to take place either at BALTIC or at your school or organisation so your students and young people can find out more about a career in the arts.
UNIT 2
PART A-E: Arts leadership
Young people: Join regular ArtMix sessions and get support in planning your arts project.
