ESOL at BALTIC offers practical advice, support and creative input to English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes in the North East who wish to visit BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art.
What can BALTIC offer visiting groups?
Support from BALTIC’s Learning Team to help groups engage with BALTIC’s exhibitions, building, history and learning spaces as part of a self-led visit.
Access to BALTIC’s Learning Lounge; a space where you can rest, bring your picnic, and enjoy a range of books, toys and free art materials, as well as BALTIC’s Sensory Room.
Free room hire for group discussion and ESOL teaching. Please note; three weeks' notice is required for room bookings.
An artist-led session exploring ideas and materials inspired by BALTIC’s current exhibitions, or topics and interests you are exploring in class.
A Community Loyalty Card for ESOL learners, giving the group discounts in BALTIC Kitchen and further offers.
