For young people aged 13-19

ArtMix is a creative group at BALTIC open to all young people aged 13-19 years old. It is an inclusive space to create, connect and chat about art and the world around us. You're invited to join free ArtMix workshops, taking place on Saturdays during term time.

Working with professional artists, you will have the chance to develop new skills, meet like-minded people and take part in creative activities that represent your voice and the things you care about. Please book your place each half term to ensure your details are up to date.

Autumn Term: Independent Artists

Join a series of ArtMix Workshops which focus on you as both an individual artist and collaborator. These sessions will be led by you, alongside activities and support from artist Alex Hughes. Alex will help inspire and support your skill development, so you can independently explore who you are and the sort of art you make. These sessions will give you the opportunity to join up your exciting ideas and skills with other young creatives, collectively making artworks you can be proud of.

The following sessions will be led by BALTIC artist Alex Hughes. They will take place in BALTIC's Studio (Level 2) on the following dates:
