Thu 27 & Fri 28 Feb 10.00-16.30
BxNU Experimental Studio | BALTIC 39
Workshop specifically for PhD students who are participating in CDT training.
This workshop explores ideas surrounding the materiality of image making, particularly analogue photographic processes. Increased awareness of the ethics of material ecologies in practice has contributed to greater scrutiny of the processes and tools of image-making, leading to a desire to explore new, more environmentally sensitive processes.
Through artist presentations and hands-on workshops, this two-day event encourages artists to reflect critically on the ethics of their material practices and the use of such reflections in the context of practice-based research.
