On Saturday 12 January 2019 BALTIC will host a symposium to accompany the major exhibition Rasheed Araeen: A Retrospective. The exhibition, the first comprehensive survey of the artist, spanning 60 years of work, presents a body of work that has had a profound influence on generations of artists, writers and thinkers. Leading scholars will explore Araeen’s unique contribution to art history and theory. The day will include a curator-led tour of the exhibition and an in-conversation with the artist.
