Practical art workshops delivered by one of BALTIC’s experienced artist facilitators develop your pupils’ artistic inspiration, influences, skills and techniques.
Led by BALTIC staff, this 30 minute introductory tour to one of the gallery’s exhibitions will look at key works, themes and ideas.
In this 1 hour session, work with experienced library and archive staff to help inspire ideas, source relevant artists, learn research skills and delve deeper into your students’ chosen artistic interests.

Arts Award is a national portfolio-based qualification for children and young people up to age 25 delivered across a variety of levels.
Bringing together education experts, artists, curators and thinkers who have profound experience of working within the fields of education, curating and pedagogy in gallery contexts; and who have differing views of the ways in which arts institutions can and should be used to support and extend education at a local and international level.
On Saturday 1 December artist Kathryn Elkin will present a seminar day that will include a screening event, curated in response to Elkin’s video new work Queen, presented by Lux Co-Director Maria Palacious Cruz. There will also be a presentation by Dr. Erika Balsom on authenticity, as well as a suite of performances from collaborators and peers Elkin met and began dialogue with during her fellowship.
