The fourth iteration of the annual open submission exhibition is once again held in BALTIC’s project space at BALTIC 39.
Ruby Pester (b. 1986) and Nadia Rossi (b. 1985) live and work in Glasgow. Collaborating, they make work that spans sculpture, performance and installation using a wide variety of media. Immersive performances and social experiments take root in DIY culture with ideas relating to childhood nostalgia, public ceremony and a celebration of the home-made.

Alt:Mix was a multimedia exhibition in BALTIC’s project space at BALTIC 39 created by Art Mix (previously Blah Blah Blah) a group of 14-19 years olds who meet regularly to take part in unique opportunities at BALTIC.
A programme of films by Sebastian Buerkner, Saeed Taji Farouky and Jessica Sarah Rinland is presented in the temporary screening space.
Mai Hofstad Gunnes (born 1977), lives and works in Oslo, Norway. Gunnes reconsiders the frameworks we live and use within society in conjunction with our many forms of categorisation.
